When cleaning windows, you can save money by using your old newspapers instead of paper towels. The newspapers will do a great job of drying glass, without leaving lint, spots or streaks. If you want to clean your windows the way the pros do, you’ll need a squeegee. Spray down the window, scrub it with a clean cloth, and then use the squeegee to clean off the remaining liquid. For exterior windows, you can purchase a handy tool that has a squeegee on one side, a scrubbing pad on the other, and is mounted on a telescoping handle.
Whether you are cleaning woodwork, or your wood furniture, it’s worth it to purchase the proper chemicals. Spray on waxes will clean your furniture and antiques, while leaving an attractive shine on them. Alternatively, you can use what your grandmother probably did and choose Murphy’s Oil Soap. It will clean your furniture and leave the same, attractive shine. Both cleaners will keep your wood moisturized to prevent drying and cracking.

Nobody likes to clean the bathroom, so this is an area where having the right tools can make a huge difference. Toilet scrubbers are available that have a raised brush on one side. This allows you to scrub under the rim of the toilet, while you scrub the sides. When selecting cleaners for the tub and tiles, it’s best to choose one that is formulated for that purpose. There will be less scrubbing required on your part with these. You should also keep in mind the materials that are being cleaned. Chemicals that are safe for tile and porcelain can scratch newer fiberglass tubs.
No one can escape the need to clean up life’s messes. But the chore can be accomplished in a faster, easier way when you have the right cleaning supplies.
