Green Cleaning Supplies

“Cleaning greener” is a topic that has recently taken our nation by storm. With the worldwide struggle towards reducing carbon emissions and cleaning up polluted air, land, and water, giant corporations have begun to follow the lead of family-owned businesses in creating more environmentally-friendly cleaning supplies. Not just good for the environment, green cleaners offer a safe, healthy, and effective alternative to the mainstream products lining supermarket shelves.

There has never been a better time to make this switch; the staggering level of competition to become recognized as a “green” company has resulted in the typical consumer being able to choose from a plethora of options, most of which now have competitively low prices.

Although many individuals choose to purchase green cleaning supplies simply due to the harmful environmental impact of chemicals found in most mainstream cleaning supplies, others find that the green alternatives smell better, work better, and irritate their skin, eyes, and nose less during the cleaning process. Parents may choose to stick with green products because they tend to be safer to use around small children; they cause fewer allergic reactions in the sensitive skin of babies and children, and are often less lethal if accidentally ingested by a youngster.

Business owners may switch to “green” because they recognize the standard they set for other area companies, because they want to provide an example to their employees or customers, or because they like to be seen by the community as a company concerned about the future of our planet.

There are very few types of cleaning supplies that do not have a “greener” alternative. Glass cleaner, all-purpose cleaner, bathroom cleanser, laundry detergent, dish-washing detergent, hand soap, dish soap, stain remover, furniture polish, and carpet deodorizer are just a few of the countless options on the market today.
